Emotions...Just There?!?

"It is not about wanting emotions and love, they are just there..."

I received this text message from Mr. Pdx today. What a guilt trip in itself! I have not seen him since before the new year. However, anyone I have known for as long as I have known him I am going to care about. I do have a heart and I am human. He has his own life and I have my own life, though.

It is annoying that people do not value emotions financially, as they should be valued. People think emotions would be a perk, but in actuality they just get in the way. Do not mix business and pleasure is a great motto. Once men know that you are emotionally invested, they tend to start to play games. Having people mess with your emotions and livelihood, at the same time, is a double edged sword!

I am able to have emotions for more then one person at a time, because I know/realize they all have their own lives too. I enjoy that I do not have to answer to anyone. In return, I have to not expect to be anyone's one and only. Giving up those expectations is not easy, but once one comes to terms with them, it is easier to emotionally handle SD/SB relationships.

Emotions are a trip, especially for the formally educated men in our society.
I do this for a living. I can only imagine how they feel?...
