Making A Difference Comes At A Price!

Early last year, I had a club SD that had issues with his son. We were close enough that I could give him advice. He was divorced and a bit lost.

Then one time he would not go through with talking to his son about a specific issue and he kept dragging his feet. So, I used the only power I had. I told him I would not see or talk to him until this issue with his son was resolved. I have never met this young man, but I fought for him when his own father wouldn't. Someone had to!

A couple months later the issue was resolved. I got to see and talk to my club SD and he brought me a card from his son. It was a thank you card for making a difference. Even though I have yet to meet this young man I am invested in his education. I gave up shopping sprees, cash, guaranteed good nights at work, and someone to talk to for months. If that is not being invested I do not know what is!
